Cleveland Real Estate owners. Don't miss a chance to lower your property taxes!

Cleveland Real Estate owners. Don't miss a chance to lower your property taxes!

Many homeowners in Greater Cleveland find themselves in an uncomfortable position of paying property taxes, which are based on a much higher assessed property value than real market supports.

If you find that your property is over-assessed and over-taxed, you have a legal right to file a complaint with your County Board of Revision. Complaints must be submitted not later than March 31.

Please be advised that as a homeowner, you may complaint only about the assessed property value, not about your property taxes. You can show to the Board of revision that a fair market value of Real Estate in Cleveland neighborhood where your property is located, is lower than an assessed value on your property tax bill.

You can prepare your tax complaint yourself by following the instructions posted on your County's Board of Revision web site.

You can hire an attorney to help you, which will cost you probably few hundred dollars.

You can simply attend the Homeowners Tax Workshop at Local-n-Global Real Estate Center March 24, 2011 between 4 pm and 7:30 pm.
