As a resident of Moreland Hills OH, I am very glad and proud to support the new green initiative by the Village of Moreland Hills.
It's hard to find nice or romantic words about the garbage. It's even harder to find a right solution for a safe and environment friendly garbage disposal. The Village of Moreland Hills made a very serious step towards a greener environment. Now it's time for Moreland Hills residents to support the initiative.
During the second week of November, each household received a new recycle cart provided by the Village. Residents are encouraged to actively participate in this recycling program.
Residents of Moreland Hills OH need to use that cart. What can be put there?
- Paper - newspapers, magazines, phone books, office paper (good news - you don't need to sort it!)
- Glass bottles and cans
- Any plastic.
Why should we use this new carts? Few facts provided by the "Moreland Hills at a glance" newsletter should encourage my fellow residents of Moreland Hills Ohio to take part in this program
- Over the last 12 months we generated nearly 1500 TONS of garbage
- On average, each Moreland Hills household produces a little over one ton of garbage per year
- BFI charges the Village $53,375 in tipping fees to landfill the garbage we produce
- If we can reduce our tipping fees by half, the carts will pay for themselves in two years, AND we will create a safer environment.
Residents of Moreland Hills can save both money and environment by simply using new Moreland Hills recycling cart instead of putting recyclable materials in our regular garbage cans.
Go Green, Moreland Hills!
