The Law of Reflection: Do Our Listings Reflect Our Personalities or it's "just the job"?

Reflection  We live in the world of reflections. Everything reflects something. Have you noticed that the properties which we list for sale are all somehow alike? Don't they reflect not only our professionalism and marketing approach, but also our personalities? Probably, my fellow agents know what I mean: sometimes we know before showing how the house will look only by knowing the listing aget's name. Even more important is to plan right the negotiation on our client's behalf by knowing or just quessing what kind of personality the listing agent is.

Listings are all about presentation. Curb appeal, staging, good pictures in MLS, nice and truthful marketing materials, convincing sales copy at the property's web site - all these details not only present the house to the potential buyers and their agents, but also represent what kind of persons we are: dominant and influencial, stable or compliant, caring or  negligent. And I wish all the agents wanted to show up only the best of their wonderful personalities.

FacesI often think what kind of person should enjoy listing all these crappy, dirty and stinky houses which we see sometimes on our market? Foreclosed houses? Abandoned houses? "No picture" houses? Or it's "just a job" to list them?

Isn't it important to show the most appealing sides of your personality by listing only the houses which you are comfortable with?
